Craig is an Atlanta-based actor with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance from the University of Southern Indiana with over 12 years of vocal and acting experience.
While at USI, Craig worked as the head of Student Recruitment for the theatre department. In this role, Craig was responsible for screening students at the biggest undergraduate conventions in the country. Craig was able to use his training to perform in AEA contracts with the New Harmony Theatre, such as Next to Normal (Gabe), Fox on the Fair (Justin), and Picnic (Alan). His favorite collegiate shows also include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Leaf Coneybear), Company (Paul), and Spring Awakening (Ernst).
In 2016, Craig attended the Open Jar Institute in New York City and trained with artists and casting agents, including James Gray, Joanna Gleason, Michael Cassara, and Bob Cline. Craig ended his time at USI by representing the university, and the KCACTF Region 3, at the Kennedy Center as a National Musical Theatre Finalist. Upon graduation, Craig moved to NYC and immediately started working with theatre companies across the country (Sharon Playhouse, Dollywood Theme Park, and Tweetsie Railroad). Craig just finished performing in the Gemtones, a 5-person acapella group based at Dollywood Theme Park.
Craig loves the art of the inner monologue, and what an individual can bring to the piece they are presenting. He firmly believes that “all singers can sing, not all singers can act,” which incorporates his teaching methods. Craig encourages his students to focus on what they can bring to a song or monologue rather than what the industry “wants” them to get with a balance between vocal and acting techniques. Craig loves providing up-to-date information on the business as a whole and learning how he can be the best resource for his students on making a memorable yet honest impression in the arts. He wants to learn just as much from the student as they do from him.
