Jimmy O’Connor is an Atlanta native. He is an actor, performer, and educator who works with both children and adults by helping them with techniques and methods that help the actor open up their inner life to the audience, their fellow cast, and themselves.
Jimmy studies Theatre & Performance Studies at Kennesaw State University. On top of his Performance Studies concentration, Jimmy specializes in acting methods by Uta Hagen. Not only is he experienced with contemporary works, but also classical ones such as Shakespeare.
In 2019, he studied at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland. Working under renowned actor and theatre director, Donal Courtney, he gained experience with playwrights such as Wilde and Brecht as well as writing and acting solo performance.
In the Fall of 2019, he joined Michael Karl Studio to help further expand the acting program for students ages 11 and older.
