Evan Little is a performer and teaching artist/coach from the Charlotte, NC region. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, studying both theatre and music. During his time in college, Evan took coursework in vocal technique and pedagogy as well as directing and acting; as a result, he prides himself in his ability to not only teach students how to sing but how to perform while they do so. Evan has performed regionally at the prestigious Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts in Warsaw, IN, where he had the opportunity to play some dream roles, like LeFou in Beauty and the Beast and Barry Mann in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, for example. He has also worked as a singer and director as a resident artist at Hogfish, a musical theatre and opera production company. Evan has studied under master teachers who have performed in international tours, the Metropolitan Opera, and even on Broadway and is excited to pass on this knowledge of the voice and performance to his students.
As an active performer, Evan will provide perspectives from the real world that will help students reach their goals. The goal of lessons with Evan is to fit the students’ needs where they are to cultivate a love of not just singing but the learning process that comes along with it. He strives to use his passion for teaching along with his support for his students to help them find confidence in themselves as a person and performer.
Outside of performing and teaching, Evan enjoys going on walks in nature, writing songs, spending time with family and friends, and trying new things!
