1. ATTENDANCE. Please realize that you are making a commitment when signing up for lessons. Prompt and regular a:endance is expected. Students who do not comply with the a:endance policies will be asked to forfeit their reserved spot.

2. SCHEDULING. Make it a priority to schedule all lesson credits before the 20th of each month for the following month, as slots fill up quickly. Teachers will begin scheduling lessons with students beginning the 11th of each month.

3. PAYMENT METHODS. Payment can be made with either Credit Card and Debit.
   A valid method of payment must be kept on file in order to engage with Michael Karl Studio.

4. PAYMENT DUE DATE. TuiLon: Monthly tuition payments will be charged automa?cally on the 22nd of the month before. Any payment made aNer the 1st will incur a $50 late fee.

   1. Students with a declined or outstanding tuition will be unable to take current or future lessons until their bill has been reconciled.

   2. Drop-in Lesson or coaching payments are due before your scheduled lesson time.

5. LATE FEES. Lesson Tuition: a $50.00 fee will be charged for any payment not received before the 1st of the month.

   1. Drop-in Lessons, and/or Coaching Sessions: In addition to the price of the lesson,
      a $30.00 fee will be charged automatically for any payment not received within 24-hours of your scheduled lesson.

   2. Outstanding payments of more than 30 days will be charged an additional $50 fee.

6. ADDITIONAL FEES. Michael Karl Studio charges a one-Lme $50 registration upon enrollment.

   1. If you have taken lessons with Michael Karl Studio previously and are a returning student, you will be responsible for a $25 re-entry fee.

   2. A $30 fee will be charged for any credit card disputes.

   3. For drop-ins and coaching sessions, additional fees may be charged for services that are not within the scope of the services agreement (e.g., providing accompaniment or printed music, etc.).

      1. Sheet music can be requested for $6.00.

      2. Piano accompaniment tracks can be made for $20.00.

7. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER The a:enLon and guidance received at Michael Karl Studio is not a substitution for medical care. I understand that the a:enLon I am given is solely for technical and stylistic development as an artist.

8. LESSON TERMS Lessons purchased as part of your monthly tuition must be used within the month purchased and expire on the last day of the month.

9. MAKE-UP LESSONS/FLEX-CREDITS Please make it a priority to a:end your scheduled lessons. If you wish to change your scheduled lesson Lme, Michael Karl Studio requires 24-hour notice, otherwise, your lesson credit will be marked as redeemed.

   1. What are Flex-Credits, and how can I use them?

      1. Lessons expire at the end of the month in which they are purchased. FlexCredits allow students to push a lesson credit to a new month. Student’s receive four FlexCredits per calendar year as a buffer for the inevitable missed classes due to scheduling conflicts. You may use FlexCredits as long as you provide at least 24 hours notice to the studio or teacher. Flex credits may only be used by students with an active tuition. FlexCredits are non-transferable between lesson tuition plans.

10. REFUNDS. Michael Karl Studio, LLC will not offer a refund on any lessons, lesson tuition, class including those canceled, missed or purchased in advance. Rescheduled lessons on behalf of the student or teacher will remain at the length of Lme and price originally booked.

11. TERMINATION OF LESSON TUITION. If you need to cancel or terminate your lesson tuition, you may do so at anytime. Cancellation of your tuition made after the 18th will have one additional pay period and will not go into effect until the following month. In order to cancel lessons, please go to www.michaelkarlstudio.com/stoplessons and submit a request. Any changes after the 18th will have one additional billing cycle before any change will go into effect.

    1. (e.g. If a student will be terminating their tuition for the month of December, the student must inform Michael Karl Studio before November 18th that they will be terminating their tuition. If no change has been made, they will be billed in-full for December tuition.)

    2. Please note, if a student wishes to re-enroll after termination of their lesson tuition, they will be responsible for a $25 re-entry fee.

12. CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF MICHAEL KARL STUDIO POLICY AGREEMENT I authorize Michael Karl Studio to keep my credit or debit card on file for any future transactions until I request a cancellation. I understand that any request made aNer the 18th of the month will require one additional payment.

1. PAYMENT: Payment for group classes can be made in full at the time of registration or through a payment plan. For payment plans, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot in the class, with the remaining balance to be paid in installments according to the agreed-upon schedule. If a student is on a payment plan, they cannot have any outstanding payments and must pay any outstanding balance for the class. Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, or other payment methods accepted by Michael Karl Studio. Students who have outstanding balances will not be allowed to attend class until the balance is rectified.

2. REFUNDS: Classes purchased in advance cannot be refunded. In the event that the studio cancels a class, a full refund will be issued.

4. LIABILITY WAIVER: By registering for a group class, students acknowledge and agree that they participate at their own risk. Michael Karl Studio is not responsible for any injuries sustained during class or any personal belongings lost or stolen on the premises. Students are responsible for informing the teacher of any physical limitations or injuries they have prior to the start of class.

5. CLASS CANCELLATIONS: Michael Karl Studio reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment, teacher illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, students will be offered a make-up class or a credit for future classes.

6. CLASS DESCRIPTIONS: Michael Karl Studio makes every effort to accurately describe each class offered. However, class content and schedule may be subject to change at the discretion of the teacher.

7. AGE REQUIREMENTS: Group classes are open to students of all ages. Some classes may have specific age requirements or restrictions. Students are responsible for checking age requirements prior to registration.

8. BEHAVIOR: Michael Karl Studio expects all students to behave in a respectful and appropriate manner during class. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the class.

9. PAYMENT INCENTIVES: To incentivize timely payment, Michael Karl Studio reserves the right to require a debit or credit card to be kept on file for all payment plans. If a student fails to make payments on time, the studio reserves the right to pursue collections. Students who make timely payments will receive priority enrollment in future classes.

Group Class Agreement

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The University Prep Program is a package of services that includes audition coaching, dance coaching, voice coaching, and acting coaching. The package is designed to provide students with the tools and skills necessary to succeed in the university application and audition process. While Michael Karl Studio will provide guidance and support to students, it cannot guarantee acceptance into any specific school or program. However, the studio will work with students to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed in their auditions.

2. APPOINTMENTS: All appointments must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you must provide at least 48 hours' notice. Additional hours that are missed or canceled without sufficient notice will be billed at $100/hour. If an appointment requires multiple coaches, you may be charged for each individual service at a separate rate.

3. AUDITION COACHING: For all audition coaching sessions, students must be completely memorized and off book. All material, including dance routines, must be learned and practiced prior to the appointment. Students who are not memorized will be sent home and the coaching will be forfeited.

By enrolling in the University Prep Program, you acknowledge that you have read and understand these terms of service and agree to be bound by them.

By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that you are bound by our policies, including our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any other policies or guidelines that we may publish from time to time. You understand and agree that you are responsible for reviewing and complying with these policies, even if you have not signed a separate agreement acknowledging them.

Your use of our services constitutes your acceptance of these policies and any updates or changes to them. If you do not agree to these policies, you must immediately stop using our services.
