About
Lizzy is a Missouri based performer and voice teacher. She recently completed a Master of Music in Vocal Performance for Musical Theatre with an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy at NYU Steinhardt. While at NYU, she served as an Adjunct Professor of Voice for two years teaching a variety of students from Tisch School of the Arts and others. She also served as an Adjunct Professor of Voice at College of the Ozarks. Lizzy graduated Summa Cum Laude at NYU, receiving the Exceptional Achievement Service, and Leadership in Musical Theatre award. She also graduated Summa Cum Laude at Belmont University, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Marketing.
Lizzy has performed regionally in many theatres across the nation. Her performing has taken her from Dallas to Colorado to Tennessee and more. She has performed at renowned theatres, such as Studio Tenn, Mill Mountain Theatre, Playhouse on the Square, and Midtown Arts Center. Lizzy’s favorite roles include Girl (Once), Heather McNamara (Heathers), Olive (Spelling Bee), and Sandy (Grease). She has also enjoyed performing solo concerts for organizations in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area. Through her studies and performing career, Lizzy has made many connections in the Musical Theatre industry and has worked with Broadway performers and music directors.
Lizzy strives to share the joy of singing with her students and help them achieve confidence in their voices, whether they are singing for fun or for industry auditions. With a strong emphasis on technique and vocal health, she will help students find their own voices in various styles. As a teacher, Lizzy believes that exercising all areas of the voice, whether it be belting, mixing, or head voice, allows singers to find versatility and flexibility in their instruments and become the best vocal athlete they can be.
